  1. 501 NETWARE V2.2: SYSTEM MANAGER

  3. This course teaches functions of the NetWare v2.2 operating system 
  4. so that students can maintain and manage a NetWare network 
  5. effectively. Through realistic, hands-on experiences, students 
  6. learn how to establish and oversee the operations of a NetWare 
  7. network╤how to create users, design and establish directory 
  8. structures, implement security, and so on. Utilities are taught 
  9. through hands-on exercises, worksheets and team projects. Setup 
  10. and management utilities and customized user environments are also 
  11. covered.

  43. Audience: New NetWare system managers responsible for managing and 
  44. using NetWare v2.2 in a working environment.

  46. Prerequisites: Participants should be entry-level NetWare users 
  47. and have a working knowledge of basic DOS commands (including MD, 
  48. CD, COPY CON, TYPE and DIR). Participants should also understand 
  49. the organization of a hierarchical directory structure and the 
  50. basics of local area networking. We recommend prior completion of 
  51. courses 1100 DOS for NetWare Users and 1101 Microcomputer Concepts 
  52. for NetWare Users.
